Where do I even begin?

From the moment we booked Blue Kid Weddings, we knew we’d made the right choice, but we never imagined just how much Jonny, Ross, Nicole and the whole team would become part of our wedding journey.

I actually met Jonny and Nicole at a wedding fair after we’d already booked them, and I went bouncing over to Jonny like a complete tornado full of excitement and chat. Looking back, he was probably thinking, “WTF ”. In fact, I imagine he looked at Nicole and thought,

“This bride is either going to be my favourite client ever… or she’s going to completely exhaust me!”

By the end of the wedding, I think it was probably both!

On the morning of the wedding, Jonny was with us girls and from the minute he arrived he was an absolute vibe. He had us all laughing, put everyone completely at ease, and honestly felt more like a friend than a photographer. Meanwhile, Ross was with the boys and brought exactly the same energy. Together they were the perfect team. They blended in effortlessly, made everyone feel comfortable, and somehow managed to capture every moment while still feeling like part of the celebrations.

The biggest compliment I can give is that they never felt like suppliers. They felt like family. In fact, we’ve invited Jonny and Ross to a family BBQ this summer because that’s genuinely the connection they made with all of us. Our family and friends absolutely adored them and are still talking about them now.

The photos are beyond anything we could ever have hoped for. Every emotion, every laugh, every tear and every special moment was captured perfectly. Looking through them takes us straight back to the best day of our lives. The photographs are absolute fire and we couldn’t be happier with them.

And then there was the sneak peek video. Wow. It completely broke me. I cried watching it because it was so beautifully put together. It captured the love, laughter, emotion and magic of the day perfectly, and it’s something we’ll treasure forever.

From the very first ‘getting to know you’ call, we knew we made the right choice with Blue Kid. Jonny and Nicole made us feel completely at ease, with a professional yet friendly and warm approach throughout.

No question was too big or small, and they worked with us to create the perfect package to suit our vision and budget. Not only did we never feel like we were being upsold or pressured (unfortunately common in the wedding industry) we were even able to pay in instalments, which was super handy.

On the wedding day itself, Jonny, Heather and Robert were all absolutely brilliant, striking the ideal balance between fun and unobtrusive, and capturing everything so naturally. Saying they went above and beyond doesn’t do them justice - in fact, Jonny literally climbed a tree to get a specific shot of cherry blossom petals falling down on us! So many of our guests also commented on how lovely they were, and how seamlessly they blended into every moment.

In terms of the finished product, wow is all I can say. They captured so many moments we would have missed, and the quality is amazing, with a great mix of candid shots and posed ones (where we look like the best versions of ourselves, despite normally both being a bit uncomfortable having pictures taken).

Being able to relive it all and see everyone’s genuine reactions and moments is such a gift - thank you so much Blue Kid. We’re infinitely grateful for all their support and energy, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a photographer/videographer that truly cares about preserving your special day, making it an even more special in the process.

Choosing Blue Kid Media was the best decision we made for our elopement in Balmaha, Scotland. They perfectly captured the magic of our day, the intimate moments, the stunning Loch Lomond backdrop, and even the little details we might have missed in the moment. The photos feel so timeless and true to us, and every time we look at them, we’re transported back to that incredible day. Their professionalism, creativity, and ability to make us feel comfortable were unmatched. We couldn’t recommend them enough!

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better team to capture our wedding day. Jonny, Ross and Heather were absolutely brilliant from start to finish, and Nicole working behind the scenes made everything run so smoothly.

I’m someone who really doesn’t enjoy being photographed at all but they made us feel so relaxed and just kept everything light and fun... it never felt awkward or forced. We had such a laugh with them all day - special thanks to Ross for putting up with me going through 3 bottles of champagne to get that ‘bottle opening shot’ and Jonny for putting up with (and probably encouraging ) Hamish’s shocking banter!

They blended into the day perfectly while still capturing everything. The photos are incredible and so full of personality, they really reflect the fun and happy atmosphere of the day.

We just recently had our wedding reception and Blue Kid Weddings were our photographers - could not recommend them more!

We had Jonny, Ross, and Ryan come for our day at Balbirnie house in March 26 and they were amazing start to finish!

Blended right in, were so fun, really smooth and got everything we wanted!

We have so many pictures to remember our day, moments we forgot or didn't see and genuinely had the best day and helped by these amazing people!

Turnaround for the photos was super fast and the communication was great again.

Booking Blue Kid Media was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From our first enquiry right through to receiving our final edits, everything has been smooth, professional and genuinely enjoyable. They knew exactly when to step in with helpful direction and when to blend into the background to capture the real moments. Nothing felt forced, nothing felt awkward, just natural, joyful, and completely “us”.

What really stood out was how thorough they were. If there’s something you’d expect a top-tier photography/videography team to do at a wedding, they did it. The big moments, the small in-between moments, the atmosphere, the laughter, the emotion, all captured beautifully. And the turnaround time has been fantastic too, which was such a treat when we were desperate to relive the day.

Honestly Blue Kid Wedding are the best! Through the whole booking process and leading up to the wedding they were always there for me to talk to them with any questions or advice! On the day the team were incredible! All our guests loved them and we felt like there were part of our family. Very very friendly and lovely and honestly would book them again in a heart beat if we needed a photographer again! We had so much fun with them and considering we have never had photo shoots before, they made us feel very comfortable and relaxed. The packages are very good prices and cater for everyone and made bespoke if needed with your budget. Amazing value for money. We had a fantastic experience with Blue Kid Weddings who photographed our wedding at Balbirnie House in December 2025. From the start, communication was excellent. Nicole was great to deal with when organising everything. She was always friendly, helpful and quick to respond which made the planning process really smooth and stress-free.

Before the wedding we met Jonny for a pre-wedding shoot at Portencross, which was such a lovely experience. It was great to meet ahead of the big day and get comfortable in front of the camera. Jonny was fantastic fun and especially great with our daughter, which made the whole experience feel really relaxed and natural.

On our wedding day they blended in so naturally and captured so many genuine moments without making anything feel forced. The photos and video truly reflect the atmosphere of the day. We’re so grateful to have those memories captured so beautifully.

The turnaround time was also impressively quick, which was a lovely surprise when you’re so excited to relive everything. On top of that, we felt the service offered excellent value for money compared to many other wedding photographers we looked at.

I am forever grateful that we found Blue Kid Weddings. After feeling like I was drowning in a million conversations with photographers I just wasn’t clicking with (or who were absolutely lovely but waaaaay out of my price range), I stumbled across Blue Kid during a late-night, last-ditch doom scroll when I’d all but given up on finding someone who felt right for us.

And then came Nicole. From her very first reply, I just knew they weren’t like the others. I already loved the photos I’d seen online, but Nicole and Jonny went above and beyond, happily sending us hundreds more to look through, and their packages were such amazing value for money. I was so confident we’d found the right people, I booked straight away.

Before the wedding we had a Zoom call with Nicole and Jonny, and it honestly felt like chatting to old friends. We laughed the whole way through with zero awkwardness, so we just knew the photos were going to be good.

On the day itself, Jonny and Ross were incredible. All our guests adored them – they fit in perfectly with everyone, from the mums and aunties to our friends. We were honestly gutted when they had to leave at the end of the night instead of sticking around for karaoke!

The photos are gorgeous. There isn’t a single one we don’t love, which is saying something because we are very awkward in front of a camera (we had about five photos together in our 13 years before this!). The fact that we now have hundreds of beautiful, natural shots is testament to how insanely talented these guys are. Half the time we didn’t even notice them snapping away, yet they somehow captured everything so perfectly.

Jonny came to our engagement party to take the photos. He got some really amazing photos for us and was so friendly. Nearly everyone asked me “who’s the photographer?” Because he was so great.
